Our Purpose

ConnectGroups has a vision for connected, thriving communities.

Since 1983, we have provided practical assistance to both new and established peer Support Groups to promote their effective management and role in the community.

Our role as a Peak Body is to ensure a thriving peer Support Group Sector in Western Australia that enables individuals, families, and carers to access unique, non-clinical supports within the community.

To create strong and sustainable peer Support Groups, we provide sector-informed training and resources that equip Group leaders with the knowledge and skills to deliver effective Groups.

To empower the Sector, we raise awareness of the existence and benefits of peer Support Groups, advocate for their changing needs, and ensure they are included, valued, and recognised as a reputable source of support.

ConnectGroups is a unique and innovative organisation that works to ensure the voices of over 700 WA peer Support Groups are united and heard.
